The Opportunity
UGL Utilities team are currently looking for an experienced Cost Controller to be based in our Perth office. The Cost Controller is responsible for managing all costs in the business and ensuring that the content of reports is accurate.
Some key responsibilities of this role will include:
· Develop, mentor and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and financial restraints.
· Track project costs, identify variances, and provide regular cost analysis and reporting to stakeholders.
· Prepare accurate cost forecasts and projections to support project planning and decision-making.
· Ensure compliance with UGL’s financial policies, procedures and contractual requirements.
· Work closely with project managers, finance teams and other stakeholders to manage cost related risks and opportunities effectively.
About you
· Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
· Proven experience in cost control, project controls, or financial management within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
· Proficiency in cost control software, financial systems (e.g SAP or Oracle), and advanced MS Excel skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.
