Here's how a(n) Cost Controls Coordinator for our Edmonton Industrial Management office contributes to our team: **Responsibilities** + Assisting with management of a multi-disciplinary project controls team (scheduling and planning, estimating, cost-control, subcontract, and document control); + Interfacing with the project teams to define scope of work, need for change to budgets and schedules, and identification of variances from the original plan; + Participating in the development and maintenance of resource loaded schedule, critical path analysis, resolution of scheduling conflicts, monitoring schedule delays, impacts and variances to the baseline; + Analyzing, trending and communicating schedule, progress, and cost information to project personnel; + Participating in the project scope and change management process and ensure timely completion and issuance of estimates or impact analyses to stakeholders; + Providing input for the issue of the project monthly cost and schedule reports and other key-management reports; + Responsible for the issue of the project weekly and monthly progress reports. **Qualifications** + A minimum of 4-6 years construction experience, specifically with project controls; + Postsecondary degree in project management, construction management and/or economics, engineering or equivalent; + Experience working for a contractor with project size of $300M+ is essential; + Knowledge of engineering and construction management principles and practices; + Knowledge of estimating methods and practices; + Knowledge of all project management functions including: scheduling and planning, cost control and forecasting, progressing, change management and document control + Highly skilled user of Microsoft Office applications; + Strong written and verbal communication; + Strong analysis and problem-solving abilities; + Excellent eye for detail; + Ability to travel to project sites for extended periods of time.
