Compensation: $86/hourLocation: Spring, TXAssignment Duration: 12 months+Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+Benefits: Comprehensive insurance with 401(k), PTO and holidays Responsibilities Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and capital forecast. Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives. Dive deeply into financial data and become a SME to provide additional insightProvide leadership and strategic thinking to projects including planning, cost estimating, contracting & tracking. Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teamsCoordinate Capital Projects Quarterly Outlooks (Q-ly OL) and Annual Budgets with a clear understanding of scope and costs:Collaborate with Project Controls/Cost Engineers, Planner, Supply Chain and Execution teams to ensure assumptions and clarifications are properly documentedPrepare reports and presentations on weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual basis or as neededReconcile Q-ly OL and Annual Budget vs previous period or version. Present Q-ly OL and Annual Budgets or financial reports to Project Teams and ManagementPropose options for budget reduction to achieve targets set by ManagementManage capital cost forecasting & AFE creation (PLEX), owning standard configurations & item ratesAnalyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), relating to budget / outlook vs actuals. Monitor KPIs and identify the cause of any unexpected variancesIdentify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutionsCollaborate with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate cost allocation, tracking of capital expenditures, and compliance with financial reporting requirementsContribute to optimization study, economic evaluations, and internal / external benchmarking assessmentsSupport Project Controls/Cost Engineers, Supply Chain and Execution teams in identification, evaluation and capture of capital efficiency opportunities and estimate risks, as well as cost savings initiativesContribute to Lessons Learned process throughout the projects’ lifecyclePerforms other/additional duties as assigned by Supervisor Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field required10 to 15 years of prior experience in Project Budget / Outlook, Project Cost Controls, Cost Estimation, Reconciliation & Analysis, and technical engineering role preferable in Oil and Gas Industry Unconventional Business (O&G Uncon)Preferable three (3) years’ experience in a technical engineering role and seven plus (7+) in Project Budget / OL, Project Cost Controls, Cost Estimation, Reconciliation & Analysis, preferable in O&G UnconExperience in Uncon O&G field execution (facilities, operations), and understanding of Uncon facilities specific scope (such as Tank Battery, Flowline, Well Pad, Well Hookup, Pipelines, Water Disposal, etc.) requiredExcellent communication, leadership, organization, planning, and supervision skills. Solid understanding of project management principles, cost control techniques, and financial analysisKnowledge of PLEX or other industry-standard cost engineering software, such as Oracle Primavera Unifier, P6 or similar cost management tools. Familiarity with financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, financial modeling software) and ability to integrate financial data with engineering and operational dataInterpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levelsSuperior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big pictureAbility to comfortably work on several projects at onceAbility to motivate and leverage resources to provide appropriate support for multiple projectsAbility to work and lead different groups to work together as a teamStrong Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skillsProficiency in data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Power BI, or similar platforms, with the ability to create. visually compelling and interactive dashboards preferred
