We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cost Engineer to join our Oil & Gas client's team, on a 12-month contract in Spring, TX. In this role, you will:

Perform and coordinate cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight, and quality assurance reviews for company-operated and Other Builder Operator (OBO) estimates for all Gate and Funding milestones. Prepare Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with OBO Operator-prepared submittals. Participate in estimate and schedule assessments to verify project cost and schedule bases. Contribute to process efficiency tools and quality assurance review process improvements within the Estimating Group. Maintain change control, cost reports, and related documentation. Collaborate with project estimators, planners, schedulers, and client accounting teams. Coordinate and compile monthly progress reports. Work closely with project managers and team leads to meet regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience. Advanced proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning, and Project Controls. Demonstrated experience in project development, including early phases, pre-full funding, and conceptual stages. Prior experience working directly for an owner or in an owner-centric environment (not solely EPC experience). Exceptional communication skills with the ability to document and explain work clearly. Proven ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to changing priorities. Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
