Northrop Grumman Defense Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our products include launch vehicles, propulsion systems, missile products, subsystems and defense electronics, precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition, satellites and space components and services, and advanced aerospace structures.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Cost Estimating Analyst (level 2) to join our team in Rocket Center, WV. May consider hybrid telework for this position.


Position Summary:

Work in a team environment to develop proposals in response to customer requests

Prepare Proposals in compliance with applicable government regulations and internal policies

Present proposal recommendations to management

Prepare certified cost and pricing data packages

Support proposal audits and negotiations with customers

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

This position emphasizes skills and experience. Will consider one of following: High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related experience. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of related business, finance, and/or program control experience. Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 1 years of related business, finance, and/or program control experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel skills is highly preferred.

Degree preference is Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting

Prior Price Estimating experience

Strong Analytical Skills

Presentation skills

Organizational/Time Management skills and ability to multitask

Self-motivated and works well in team environment

Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Salary Range: $62,200.00 - $93,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
