ARS employees are motivated through our industry competitive benefits package, our awards and recognition program, and personalized attention from ARS Senior Managers.   **​​** Responsibilities include: + ​Manage, oversee/lead, or perform scientific work that involves designing, developing, and adapting mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques. + ​Analyze management problems and providing advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems. + ​Competence in the rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis. + ​Professional knowledge of, and skill in applying a wide range of theories, concepts, and methods of analytical, mathematical, or statistical principles and practices to military weapons programs. + ​Use of routine cost estimating methods such as analogy, engineering or scientific methodology, and extrapolation. + ​Use of cost estimating outputs to assess the impact various factors have on the costs to design, research, develop, operate, maintain, and dispose of a particular weapon system. + ​Most appropriate phase of the budgetary cycle (planning, programming, justification, execution, etc.) for initiating new programs. + ​Analyze all elements affecting costs for a project of limited scope. + ​Analyze Contractor financial data using EVM measures of merit to determine program viability with respect to cost, schedule, and performance. + ​Use of the ACEIT Tool Suite to perform all program office estimates and analyzes is mandatory use for working in the C3I&N Directorate (AFLCMC/HN) for all cost analysis positions. + ​Analytical processes, such as setting up the problem, conducting background research, collecting and reducing data, displaying data for analysis, formulating mathematical expressions, and drawing conclusions. + ​Compliance with all cost estimating guidance including the appropriate DoD, Air Force, AFMC, AFLCMC, or lower-level policy, publications, supplements, manuals, etc., as well as applicable documents and regulations, systems, processes, and guides, as required. + ​Other duties as assigned **​Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:** **​** ​Minimum Qualifications + ​Must be a U.S. Citizen + ​Active Top Secret clearance required + ​Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related degree + ​Minimum 2+ years working with acquisition requirements, development, and approval processes with at least 1+ years in the DoD environment ​Preferred Qualifications + ​Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related degree + ​5+ years of related experience with at least 3+ years in the DoD environment in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field + ​Cost Analysis/Statistical Analysis experience supporting financial management across multiple programs in their acquisition life cycle to include pre-engineering development, engineering development, testing, fielding and sustainment. **​** ​All positions at Applied Research Solutions are subject to background investigations.
