The Cost Estimating Specialist will be responsible for improving and maintaining estimating capability within Rolls Royce Submarines

What you will be doing
With this exciting opportunity your main responsibilities will include:
Recognised as local authority in relation to cost estimating and maintaining that status by continuing professional development, monitoring the external environment for opportunities and liaising with group and other sector functions.Ensure the delivery of functional improvements relating to cost estimating. Understand the causes of poor business performance, waste & opportunity.Actively lead problem solving & improvement projects that deliver capabilities to close any gaps. Capture lessons / learning / best practice and shareEstablish, develop and maintain improvement plans of business capability in the area of cost estimating.Delivery of functional training in relation to cost estimating.Lead the creation and maintenance of functional documents / artefacts in area of cost estimating.Coach and develop others where appropriate in the cost estimating discipline or provide expert guidance and authoritative leadership to small/medium teams.Who we’re looking for:

To be successful in this role you will need to:
Ideally attained Degree level qualification in PM or APM Project Management Qualification or can demonstrate equivalent PM knowledge.Have good experience in Cost EstimatingData analytics experience is advantageous but not essentialDemonstrate good analytical skills with an ability to analyse and interpret information from different sources.Strong people management and interpersonal skills, including experience in providing structured coaching and personalWe are an equal opportunities employer. To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
