Responsibilities/QualificationsDrees Homes is currently looking for a candidate for the position of Cost Estimator working in our Nashville, TN Division.
The objective of this position is to be responsible for performing all activities associated with costing, estimating, pricing, maintenance of estimating related programs, and cost analysis of residential homes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate with trade partners and oversee cost codesPrepare detailed estimates and purchase orders for all product in a timely manner while ensuring accuracyUtilize estimating software to verify take-offs and resolve disputesUpdate and maintain bid pricing from all vendors Establish working relationships with vendors/subcontractors to enhance effective communication

Desired Knowledge and Skills:
Strong computer skills including ExcelAnalytical, detail-minded, team oriented and a good communicator (internal and external customers)Experience in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Accounting or related field of study, preferredAbility to read bid sets, architectural plans as well as construct cost estimates preferredExperience conducting bid analysis a plusA visual learner with strong organizational skillsSelf-motivated to be able to multi-task and meet deadlinesA problem solver who can take ownership of projectsExperience working in a construction related capacity a real plus
The schedule of this position will be Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM plus additional hours as necessary.
