Cost Manager- Norway 

To €115,000 DOE + Package 

We are assisting a leading design and build contractor focused on innovation, sustainability, and excellence, providing advanced solutions to address the increasing demand in the delivery of Data Centre projects in the Nordic Region. The need now exists for an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Manager to oversee and manage the financial aspects of data centre projects, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the allocated financial framework. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:    

Present accurate cost estimates & budgets based on project drawings, specifications & important considerations. 

Communicate with project stakeholders to establish cost targets and ensure alignment with overall project budgets. 

Develop construction methods to achieve cost efficiencies while maintaining project quality & requirements. 

Help in the tendering and procurement process including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids & negotiating contracts with suppliers & subcontractors. 

Ensure that procurement decisions are based on cost- effectiveness, quality, and reliability. 

Verify and keep track of project costs throughout the project lifecycle, tracking expenditures, analysing deficiencies, and implementing corrective actions to ensure budgetary constraints are followed. 

Prepare regular cost reports & provide project stakeholders with timely updates on project financial performance.  

Oversee changes to scope, specifications, and requirements, assessing the impact on project costs and schedules, and documenting changes through change orders and variations. 

Negotiate change orders with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure fair and equitable resolution of cost-related issues.  

Proactively address risks and issues to prevent cost overruns and delays. 

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.  

Proven experience in cost management within large-scale construction projects, preferably in the data centre or high-tech industries. 

MRICS or other related professional body membership is beneficial. 

Strong knowledge of construction cost practices, procurement processes, and risk management. 

Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with diverse teams and clients. 

Proficiency in cost management software and tools.
