Job Summary:
As a Cost Planning Analyst, the most important thing is to maximize profits. To do that, you will oversee project costs, and lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance product performance and profitability. Your responsibilities will include managing product life cycles, coordinating production and logistics strategies, and driving new business development.
You will play a critical role in developing and executing long-term business plans, aligning with DENSO’s Global Headquarter goals, and presenting data-driven proposals to senior leadership. To adjust market changes or political issues quickly, sometimes you will make short-term strategy for tariff or semi-conductor shortage. Also, you will evaluate market and competitor data to get new business.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan product specifications and pricing, and coordinate actions for effective execution collaborating with business units and each function like sales, purchasing dept. and technical center. Monitor, analyze, and forecast project costs, including labor and materials, ensuring that project budgets align with company objectives. Identify, prioritize, and develop plans for product and service improvements, including resource allocation, budget creation. Actively engage with manufacturing strategies by managing end of product life cycles, assess demand and capacity, analyze costs for in-house vs. outsourcing and identify best production site of new products. Improve product profitability short-term market trend Initiate new business strategies, sales expansion, and mid/long-term structural improvement through Analyze market and competitor data with sales, and technical center. Utilize comprehensive knowledge of company operations to create sales expansion plans and support a proactive approach to market shifts. Actively engage in a broad spectrum of management challenges focused on enhancing business performance and profitability. Prepare and present data-driven strategic proposals to senior leadership. Understand Global Headquarter (GHQ) goals for profitability and create recommendation and action plans to enhance profitability in North America Develop optimal solutions by thoroughly integration quality, cost and deliver (QCD) considerations in collaboration with various internal departments.Required Qualifications:
0-3 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, product management, cost analysis, preferably in manufacturing. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Understanding of financial principles related to cost analysis, budgeting, and profitability enhancement. Mathematical and analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects. Experience in developing and implementing business strategies and product improvements. Experience with developing and presenting data-driven proposals to support strategic decisions. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to influence others within the job area by explaining relevant facts, policies, and practices.Benefits Summary
