About the Function
The Supply Chain & Procurement FP&A team is a truly global and diversified department. Our scope includes North America, Africa, Europe Supply and Global Supply Finance activities.
We are contributing through the end-to-end Supply Chain from the consumer to the supplier. We are playing a big part in making our brands as we source, distill, brew, pack and ship around 145 million EUs per year and managing a cost base of 5 billion GBP.
About the Role
The purpose of the role is to calculate costs of Diageo products as part of ongoing innovation and renovation projects or the annual product cost recalculation exercise, from indicative costings through to final product costing in SAP.
Key Accountabilities
Provision of indicative costings – supporting project managers with indicative costings projects, ensuring accurate calculation of product costs, overheads, depreciation etc. for gatekeeper decision making purposes.
New SKU Costing – Following gate sign-off, costing the product in SAP, liaising with the brand change community and BTP teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the SKU cost in SAP and finance Costing tracker.
Run monthly ML closing cycle
Support the annual SKU cost reset process by ensuring the process is completed in a timely and accurate manner
Standardisation / Simplification – in collaboration with other costing colleagues, simplifying and standardising costing processes into a single way of Costing.
About You
University or College degree in Economics or Finance and Accounting
2-3 years’ experience in a Finance related role
Costing/Supply Finance/FMCG experience is an advantage
Outstanding communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks in parallel
Solution focused mindset
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
