The Purpose of the Role

 

·       Assist in the management of the flow of information to and from the Company to ensure compliance with the contract programme and contractual commitments. Comply with Honeywell reporting procedures.

·       Assist the Project Director and package Project Managers to prepare Contractual correspondence with reference to specific entitlements and time bars as set out in the Contract (e.g. EOT, delay notices, variations).

·       Work with the Project Director to develop a site handbook highlighting the project team’s commercial and contractual requirements relating to rights and obligations under contract, key processes and requirements for the development and submission of claims for variations, extension of time and other claims.

·       Maintain an audit file for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules.

·       Liaise with the Pacific Commercial Manager and legal support as required.

·       Manage the variation process, claims and where appropriate negotiations

·       Manage the EOT process, claims and where appropriate negotiations

·       Responsible for the submission of compliant monthly applications inclusive of all paperwork, measure sheets, back-up timesheets and ensures technical and commercial completeness prior to submission.

·       Responsible for the development and management of commercial registers that detail all submissions, their substantiation requirements, follow up requirements and timing and ensure that no claim for time or money is lost due to Honeywell’s failure to meet the specific requirements of the contract.

·       Manage all claims against HW by subs or counter claims by Clients or other stakeholders

·       Ensure the Company position is secured financially and contractually

·       Responsible for the ownership and management of accurate project costs as they relate to the final estimate actual cost at completion (EAC)

·       Assist Supply Chain in the selection and appointment of subcontractors to ensure back to back terms and conditions of appointment.

·       Assist & advise on the management of supplier and subcontractor activities to ensure their performance on the contract.

·       Describe the key tasks / activities that are necessary to fulfil the purpose of the role – remember these actions should not be key “goals” – these should be reviewed and allocated annually as part of the performance development program

·       Assist in the management of the flow of information to and from the Company to ensure compliance with the contract programme and contractual commitments. Comply with Honeywell reporting procedures

Qualifications

·       Relevant degree or diploma qualification desired, likely to include Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or Building Services.

·       Project management education or certification desirable

·       Thorough understanding of Project operations in a commercial hard dollar construction environment is essential.

·       Experience in quantity surveying/cost management/contract administration on construction projects is essential.

·       Risk management as it relates to the commercial and contract success of the project.
