Costing Engineer

Costing Engineer is in charge of estimating and providing robust cost data to internal customers (Acquisition manager/Program Manager/Finance Controller/Sales/Buyer) to support business acquiring and program development.

The main missions are:

Estimate Bought Out Part cost (Piece & tooling cost) independently based on design input, as in EBOM, 3D data, 2D drawing etc.Estimate inhouse manufacturing cost based on plant productivity and corresponded rates.Establish CBOM (Cost-BOM) with risk & opportunity analysis during both acquisition and program phases to enhance business competitiveness and profitability.Set Sourcing Cost Target for bought out parts and provide support for supplier negotiations when necessary.Make or Buy analysis, ECR cost assessment and VA/VE engagement.Conduct supplier tooling audit after PPAP, focus on identifying tooling “True Cost” by physical evidence and professional experience.New database establishment and Existing updates.New Cost Model development and Existing updates.Involve in special costing project when requiredCompliance to Code of Ethics and Code of ManagementOthers if needed

Candidate Requirement

5 years or more stamping tooling design or process planning experience in auto industry. Be aware of basic tooling cost structure and market situation.Familiar with different tooling types as in Manual die, Transfer die, Progressive die and be able analyze stamping process and tooling structure independently based on 3D/2D drawing according to different tooling types and business requirements.Good communication skill and business sense.Be able to work under pressure and deadline.Sensitive to numbers and skilled in mass data processing by Excel.Basic Working English in oral and written.Preferred (either one of below):Candidate with costing experience.Candidate with experience in auto seating company.
