Job Summary: Are you looking for an opportunity to be a part of the team that works with Designers on both theatrical and operational costumes for Disney? We are looking for a Costume CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) Specialist! Costume CAM Specialists help bring our iconic Operations, Entertainment, and Character costumes to life! Costume CAM Specialists create patterns (both manually and electronically) and technical drawings, as well as maintain documentation. In this role, you will partner with vendors as well as analyze and interpret line drawings. You will also write specifications and submit correction sheets for revision to technical packs as part of the garment production cycle.
You will report to the Costuming Workroom Manager.
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $23.45 per hour.

As a part of the consideration process for this position, there will be an 8-hour in-person assessment. Responsibilities: Build technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator or other comparable softwareCreate, analyze, and interpret line drawingsCreate patterns for new developmentPattern customization for individual garmentsDigitize, modify, and accurate patternsProvide yields for Bill of Materials on replenishment ordersVendor communication and troubleshooting with supervisionPerform outside vendor sample assessmentsTake measurements of garments and size chartsWrite specifications in Microsoft ExcelEvaluate prototype garments or samplesSample cutting and sewingCollaborate with Costuming Leaders and attend meetings with various levels of the organizationInput and update garment measurements Basic Qualifications: Be at least 18 years of agePossess a valid Driver’s License as you may be required to drive company vehiclesSophisticated knowledge of garment patterning, cutting, and constructionExposure to all types of fibers; manufactured or naturalComfortable working in an area where you may be exposed to performers in multiple stages of dress and undressFlexible with work schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidaysFull-Time roles require full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays is preferred Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Gerber Accumark, Microsoft Excel, Gerber YuniquePLM, Adobe Photoshop, Cutworks, Cast Measurements, SAP, and AccunestExperience using plotters, digitizing machines, and/or handheld 3D scannersGarment production experience within the Apparel Industry, Textiles, Theater, Themed Entertainment, or related fieldExperience with industrial sewing machines, press equipment, and toolsExperience crafting and modifying proportional flat sketch line drawings of complicated garments in Adobe Illustrator Additional Information: SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
