**What You'll Do**
Join our Principal Infrastructure team as Counsel to provide expert legal guidance in structuring, financing, regulatory, and transactional matters that support Principal Asset Management's growing infrastructure platform. You’ll play a vital role in driving sophisticated infrastructure projects and fostering client relationships to ensure our continued success.
+ Lead and managing documentation and negotiation of financing transactions for infrastructure projects, including structured finance, 144A transactions, and private placements related to construction, acquisition, and development
+ Provide strategic legal advice on project financing and regulatory compliance to support innovative infrastructure solutions
+ Collaborate with business partners to fuel client-facing growth by negotiating investment management agreements and advising on private fund structures
+ Serve as a trusted legal advisor on diverse infrastructure transactions while navigating complex legal and business frameworks

**Who You Are**
+ 5+ years of legal experience (minimum for this level); 8+ years preferred for the next level
+ Experience in Private Project Finance and Infrastructure Law, with 10+ years of related experience as a bonus

Some travel may be required.
Requires a law degree from an accredited law school, admittance to the bar in at least one state.
**Salary Range Information**
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
**Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)**
$137000 - $207000 / year
**Time Off Program**
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role offers flexible work arrangements, including in-office, hybrid, or fully remote setups. Collaborate with your leader to identify the best arrangement for you. While the infrastructure team is based in New York City, Principal Asset Management home offices are also located in Des Moines, Chicago, Seattle, and Charlotte.
**Job Level**
We’re open to hiring at the next level for candidates with the right experience and skills. This would include a minimum of eight years of experience as an attorney.
