This is a full-time, exempt hybrid position.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide legal and other counsel on various labor relations issues, including collective bargaining, grievance handling, arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, and union campaignsRepresent FOX clients in negotiation of both single and multi-employer collective bargaining agreements on behalf of the FOX Corp. companies, including developing negotiation strategies and preparing proposals for negotiations Advise leadership on legal proceedings such as NLRB mattersInvestigate and address union grievancesAnalyze collective bargaining agreements (e.g., to ensure compliance with negotiated contract terms) and advise leadership accordingly in several internal departments, including production, finance, distribution, publicity/marketing, creative, and Business & Legal AffairsCollect and analyze information regarding company practices and the financial impact of collective bargaining agreement terms for use in contract negotiations and other business purposesEstablish and maintain effective relationships with various industry labor organizationsCollaborate with other departments (including employment legal and employee relations) as needed on labor issuesConduct legal research relating to labor relations issues as neededWHAT YOU WILL NEED
Excellent academic credentials, a JD degree, and current State Bar membership2-5 years of relevant litigation, labor relations, and/or business/legal affairs experienceExperience negotiating contract terms, preferably terms of collective bargaining agreementsStrong analytical abilities and a strategic thought process with excellent communication and collaborative skillsAbility to analyze financial data and contract termsAbility to work variable hours and travel as neededExcellent judgment and the ability to work independentlyNICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
California Bar membershipExperience working in the entertainment and/or broadcast industry, including with entertainment industry unions and guilds#LI-DNI

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $179,000.00-205,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
