The Role
We are seeking an attorney to join the WTW’s Global Contracting Team (GCT) in the Office of General Counsel to provide general business legal and contracting support to WTW in the Office of General Counsel. The role is expected to work closely with other lawyers in the GCT and report to Deputy General Counsel of Health Wealth and Career in North America.
The successful candidate should have a strong contracting background. Experience in the employee benefits or health insurance industry is preferred, but not required. The candidate must be comfortable working directly with cross-functional internal business teams and external parties to handle complicated commercial contracts, as well as a variety of other corporate and commercial matters. The candidate must be effective in providing necessary advice and counseling internal clients in a solutions-oriented, commercial-friendly way. The successful candidate is preferred to work in a hybrid remote-office environment located in Arlington, VA; or Nashville, TN.
Tasks
Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of contract types, including service agreements, confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, business associate agreements, vendor agreements, and co-broker, sub-broker, and introducer agreements. Advise business colleagues on compromise positions and risks relative to contract provisions. Assist with the preparation of proposals (e.g., RFP responses) to prospective clients. Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients. Manage the provision of contracting and transactional advice and counsel to business segments and other functions as a member of the North American Legal team Leverage strong organizational and task efficiency skills to help the team meet contract targets and deadlines Provide daily contract support and lead coordination and partnership with other internal functional disciplines Manage customer relationships and level one reviews Escalate management issues when necessaryThe Requirements
Must possess a law degree. Minimum five years of experience as counsel.Solid track record of handling efficiently and commercially, complex, and sophisticated contract reviews.Ability to align with WTW’s approach to contracting, build strategic relationships, and support new business initiatives. Ability to work closely with all levels of senior management and provide strategic legal advice.Ability to handle confidential information and opinions with discretion. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to see the big picture in terms of the Company’s legal and ethical obligations for the protection of its reputation. Respected for substantive expertise and work ethic.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The salary compensation range being offered for this role is $140,000.00 to $160,000.00. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
