The Opportunity
We are seeking a psychologist or counsellor who is experienced in co facilitating a DBT based skills group. The role also involves one to one allied health (counselling) interventions. Must be available to work on Fridays between 08:30hrs to 16:30hrs.
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria:
Qualifications in counselling or psychology. Current registration with relevant professional body. Training and experience in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic evidence-based group programs targeting mental health. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to quickly establish rapport, and to skilfully adapt program delivery according to client needs. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary team within a clinical setting. Demonstrated initiative and creativity in thinking, problem solving and service delivery. Willing to participate in a continuous quality improvement environment.Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience working in a private mental health facility.
