MAJOR FUNCTION:
Non-licensed staff member who, under the direction of a registered nurse provides physical care and emotional support to patients from five to seventeen years of age. Maintains a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment while providing primary care and supervision. Develops and implements psychosocial group activities. Documents both group and individual patient care interventions and outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field from an accredited college or university required. Previous experience with children preferred. Previous experience with mental health preferred. Successful work experience as verified by reference check.Certification/Licensure:
BLS required. Welle training will be provided within 90 days. American Association Psychiatric Tech certification preferred.
