Silver Ridge is seeking a Lead Counselor and Counselor to join their amazing team in Mills River NC!
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Salary: $58k - $65k$ per year, This position also comes with a $5,000 sign on bonus!
Requirements: Professional Counseling License in NC. LCSW, LCMHC, LCAS(A).
Summary
Responsible for providing leadership and support to counselors for all clinical services for program as outlined by facility standards and in accordance with clinical philosophy of program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Facilitates group therapy, including preparation of materials, through research and construction of curriculum as needed.
· Carrying a limited caseload as deemed necessary.
· Communicating with referral sources and company representatives regularly to strengthen relationships and address concerns/problems.
· Work closely with the psychiatrist and nursing staff regarding medication management and evaluation of client mental health needs.
· Manages client files by conducting scheduled audits to ensure proper documentation is present and all licensing regulations are met.
· Facilitates and attends weekly treatment team meetings.
· Assists staff and program scheduling as needed.
· As needed, conducts insurance reviews and assessments.
· Responsible for intake process with new clients into program as applicable.
· Participates in on-call duties for the facility to assist line staff with client behavioral and emotional needs as applicable.
· Oversees Family Programming including but not limited to the facilitation of psycho-educational programming as deemed appropriate.
· Provide recommendations and assist in coordination of aftercare planning for clients.
· Assist Clinical Supervisor/Clinical Director with clerical duties and any other duties as assigned.
· Complete all required trainings.
· Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide training and day-to-day guidance to the clinical assessment team.
Required Qualifications
Licensure, Education, & Experience
North Carolina & Georgia
· Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling
· Master’s level licensure: Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling
· Chemical Dependency programs may also accept: High school Diploma/GED, Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree with a fully licensed CADC
· Preferred experience in within the mental health/ trauma, eating disorder, and substance use domains.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs, stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. This position will be scheduled based on operational need & will be required to provide own transportation. Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease, and/or infection from clients in the work environment. Incumbent may be exposed to traumatic situations (i.e. psychiatric).
