COUNSELOR

We're looking for a Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team in Springfield, Missouri. As a member of our crew, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients, providing them with the tools and resources they need to recover and live fulfilling lives.

Here's what you'll get to do:

Complete intakes, screenings, and assessments to help us create personalized treatment plans for our clientsDevelop and implement treatment plans that address each client's unique needs and goalsWork with clients to teach them coping mechanisms, stress management techniques, and other strategies to help them succeed in their recoveryCommunicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure everyone is on the same pageKeep detailed records of client progress and updatesParticipate in regular training and professional development opportunities to stay up to date on best practices and industry trendsRepresent our company in the community and build positive relationships with referral sources, clients, and other professionalsHandle crisis situations with grace and professionalismFacilitate group and individual counseling sessions focused on promoting recovery, healthy decision-making, and improved problem-solving skillsCollaborate with other team members to ensure a holistic approach to client care

Experience and Education Qualifications:

Missouri: Hold the credentials of a Qualified Addiction Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB)

Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Reciprocal Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRADC), Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRAADC), or Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADC), Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP); or

Credential of Co-Occurring 

 

Kansas: Hold the credentials as defined by the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory  Board, (BSRB)

Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) or Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) 

OR

Appropriate State Board

 

*Applicant must be willing to become licensed in additional states, other than the state currently licensed in. Applicant must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve.  

PLUS:

A strong understanding of addiction treatment methods, principles, and techniquesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to establish rapport with clients and work effectively with a diverse populationFamiliarity with state and federal regulations regarding substance use disorder treatmentA valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
