Counselor

Reporting to the Director of Counseling, Staff Counselors provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health outreach services in an inclusive, collaborative, and integrated Center for Health and Wellness.

VT Licensure Requirements: This position requires one of the following valid State of Vermont (VT) license, LMFT, LICSW, LCMHC, and licensed psychologist. Candidates who are eligible for a VT license but do not currently hold one must provide details about their anticipated licensure timeline and the status of their application with the VT Office of Professional Regulations when applying.

Core Responsibilities:

Provides psychological counseling and crisis intervention for students and implements appropriate assessments and clinical interventions. Facilitates group workshops, therapy, and series as assigned to contribute to meet outreach goals. Builds relationships with campus community to reduce stigma and increase help/service seeking Completes timely documentation in the EHR according to best practices and Counseling policies Facilitates skills and process trainings for students and employees as assigned Consults with Director, Counseling staff, and other Center for Health and Wellness colleagues around risk management, referrals, confidentiality, and crisis management support. Participates in Counselor on-call rotation.

This position is a full time, benefits eligible, salaried position. The salary range for the position is $63,009- $78,787 per year.
