The Hospital Chaplain (Bereavement Counselor) is responsible for direct pastoral care for patients and families at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Acts as a support person for patients, caregivers, families and staff. Serves as part of an interdisciplinary team and serves as a liaison to patients and families that receive Palliative Care services at Restorative Care. Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate.

Education         

Masters Degree from an accredited seminary required

Experience        

Minimum of four units clinical pastoral education required Minimum of 2 years ministerial experience required

License/Registration/Certifications    

Board Certification or eligible for Board Certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains preferred
