Department Overview:
This is a role in the Counterparty Risk department, joining a team responsible for managing the credit risk of various counterparties to ING, including hedge funds, insurance companies and agent lenders. The team works closely with Financial Markets and Sectors/ Lending teams across a
wide suit of banking products including derivatives, margin loans, revolving credit facilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
Be responsible for onboarding and ongoing management/ monitoring of large-scale fund manager and agent lender portfolios;Conduct credit analysis on hedge funds and other non-bank financial institutions, including client due diligence as necessary, and providing subsequent risk appetite recommendation;Respond to ad-hoc transaction requests in a timely manner, demonstrating clear understanding of trade-specific risks and risk measurements;Prepare/ devise reporting for internal stakeholders ensuring high quality and timely information is provided to our stakeholders to enable proactive risk management;Monitor, analyse and report on concentrations, violations and trends in the credit/market risk portfolio;Respond to (ad-hoc) questions and data requests from internal and external stakeholders on counterparties/ sectors in your scope;Participate in risk projects, including regulatory and system-related matters;Support team with the measurement and interpretation of exposure calculations (PS, LGD, EAD, RWA etc);Candidate Profile
Qualification/Education
Essential:
University degree in a quantitative/ finance fieldDesirable:
Masters in a quantitative finance field and/ or relevant professional qualification (CFA, FRM)Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
At least 4 years’ experience in a credit risk management environmentExperience of managing credit risk for funds and/or agency lending;Knowledge of master documentation (ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA);Familiar with Financial Markets Traded Products;Desirable:
Able to perform (trend) analysis on credit/market risk portfolios;Knowledge of credit risk models (PFE, RWA, LGD);Personal Competencies
Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail;Good command of English language, both oral and written, other language skills are a bonus;Pro-active approach and be able to plan, organize and work independently.
