We are looking for a Country Business Unit Controller (m/f/d) to join our team at Siemens Mobility Portugal!
In this role you will be responsible for:
Financial Oversight and Reporting
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets for the business unit. Create accurate financial forecasts to guide decision-making. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and corporate policies. Variance Analysis: Analyze deviations between actual and budgeted performance. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.Strategic Support
Performance Monitoring: Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate business unit health. Identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to define business strategies. Align financial goals with broader organizational objectives.Compliance and Risk Management
Audit and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and legal regulations. Coordinate internal and external audits and address findings promptly. Risk Assessment: Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor currency, market, and operational risks that could affect the business unit.Operational Support
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with sales, operations, HR, and other teams to align financial planning with operational goals. Provide financial expertise to support business decisions and investments. Cost Management: Oversee cost control measures and expense management. Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives.Leadership and Team Management
Team Oversight: Lead and develop the finance team within the business unit. Ensure staff is trained on compliance, policies, and tools. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the liaison between the business unit and corporate headquarters. Communicate financial performance and updates to key stakeholders.Technology and Process Improvement
System Integration: Ensure the effective use of financial systems and tools. Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. Data Analysis: Leverage financial data to provide insights into business trends. Use analytics tools to support decision-making.Key Competencies:
Strong understanding of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP). Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage cross-functional teams and lead projects. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.We're looking for someone who has:
A Master's in a field of Economics; Previous experience of at least, 5 years in similar functions; Expertise in the fields of calculation, export, customs and taxes; Proficiency in accounting according to IFRS and have experience in contract management; Expertise in PowerBi; An excellent command of English international activities;What you can expect from us...
