As Country Controller you will be responsible for the delivery of all controllership activities relative to all legal entities in Egypt and Morocco. This includes Financial Accounting, Reporting and Internal Controls. The Country Controller is the Controllership interface into Country/Site Leadership and External Authorities (incl. External Auditors). **You Will Be Part of Growing Team** Accountable for the preparation and integrity of the financial statements of all legal entities. Responsible for _Financial Reporting, Accounting and Controls, and Governance._ **Your Challenge:** + Ensure that the financial accounting and reporting of all legal entities in the countries complies with statutory and corporate policies and local and US accounting standards. This relates to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and ensuring that all reporting happens with the timelines and deadlines set by both regional management and the US team. + Ensure that an effective and efficient control environment is in place for all legal entities in the country, in line with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 as well as Corteva Internal Control Standards Manual. + Managing relationships with external auditors and internal audits for finance and internal control related matters and ensuring that all statutory filings are filed on time i.e., financial statements, taxes, VAT, withholding taxes and any other filings required by local laws of each country within scope. + Responsible for the direct supervision of the local controllership team and provide the required functional guidance. + Provide indirect oversight and act as liaison between the local organizations and Service Centers for all the Record-to-Report processes. + Maintain and improve accounting processes. + Maintain sound understanding of local entities´ underlying business and external regulatory environment to ensure continued adequacy of accounting treatments and effectiveness of control environment. + Represent Finance in all matters related to Country Financials, Internal Controls, and governance and, for this, link as appropriate with all other Finance Competencies operating remotely. + Coordinate and provide necessary support in case of external tax audits.
