**A Day in the Life**
As Medtronic's Country Director in The Philippines, you will lead our market presence, shaping health policies and building key relationships with policymakers and the healthcare community. You will drive strategic initiatives to exceed financial targets, manage P&L, and promote Medtronic therapies through impactful partnerships. By mentoring your team and ensuring compliance, you will uphold Medtronic’s high standards of quality and integrity.
Role and Responsibilities
+ As Medtronic’s management representative in the local market, the Country Director serves as the Company’s principal spokesperson to influence and contribute to shaping the country’s health policies; nurture relationship with policy makers, regulators, healthcare community and the industry.
+ Align with Asia region-led markets strategy, lead team of business leaders to identify opportunities in the country, develop strategic and tactical plans to exceed financial targets; has full responsibility for the Country’s P&L.
+ Work with key customers/accounts to develop partnership strategies to promote cost-effective delivery of company's therapies and opportunities for therapy adoption.
+ Directly responsible for managing in-country supporting infrastructure, leveraging shared services wherever possible.
+ Lead in-country employees provide coaching and support employees’ development.
+ Be a role model in actively promoting Medtronic’s Business Code of Conduct; provide guidance and advice to employees to ensure legal compliance. Maintain Company’s agreed quality standards about its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.
**Key Accountabilities:**
+ Develop and execute the strategic plans for the country to support high growth trajectory in a key focus market for Medtronic.
+ Plans, directs, and monitors the activities of the sales team for the business to gain market share and achieving established Revenue and EBIT targets.
+ Collaborates with other departments, including but not limited to senior leadership, Clinic Operations, Quality, Legal, Finance, Marketing, IT and Project Management to ensure sales targets are met and strategic initiatives are implemented in region of responsibility.
+ Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions in order to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs.
+ Assesses need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies.
+ Establishes direct sales and operational plans with direct impact on function results, including target revenue, resource allocation, expenditures and future business opportunities.
+ Work closely with functional leaders of Finance, HR, Operations, RAQA, IT and Legal & Compliance
+ Be a role model in actively promoting Medtronic’s Business Code of Conduct and turning it into the company’s competitive advantage.

**Qualification, Skill, Experience and Knowledge:**
+ Bachelor’s degree with 15-20 years of solid sales/marketing management experience in the healthcare industry
+ Good knowledge and work experience in Southeast Asia markets, with The Philippines experience preferred.
+ Highly developed people management skills – ability to lead, manage and motivate by example.
+ Ability to manage multi-businesses and functions
+ Solid understanding of the Country’s healthcare system, regulatory and reimbursement processes.
+ Strategic long-term thinker, capable of mapping execution to a plan.
+ Adaptive change agent capable of setting vision and developing leaders.
+ Local language skills and empowered data driven decision making.
+ Strong system solvers “sum greater than its parts” and TEAM first mentality.
