The team

EMEA Controllership is holding responsibility of IFRS reporting, statutory financial statement preparation in 26 countries. We collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accounting operations and business decisions are compliant with IFRS and local GAAP regulations. The mission of our Team is to provide valuable insight and reliable financial information for the internal and external stakeholders. Our Team’s capabilities are gathered for the years of experience within areas of Revenue, GL, Inventory, Tax, Statutory Accounting and External Audit. Expertise knowledge allows us to lead the most important international corporate projects. Join us and have a real impact on the Company’s growth!

 The role

• Hold responsibility for preparation and submission of Financial Statements
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/Hitachi Accounting Policies on the Group reporting level
• Ensure compliance with Statutory requirements on the local GAAP reporting level
• Analyze complex deals and accounting queries
• Obtain information relating to the business changes and its impact on the Financial Statements
• Prepare Balance Sheet and Income Statement Analytics based on IFRS monthly/quarterly
• Mitigate and manage of balance sheet risks (overview of balance sheet reconciliations, overall analytical review)
• Maintain and Develop of Accounting Policies/ Implementation of new IFRS accounting standards
• Manage of Internal and External Audit
• Investigate accounting queries from FP&A and Corporate Controllership
• Cooperate with other functions such as GFSS, FP&A, treasury, facilities, legal, tax and HR
• Support efficiencies and compliance in Finance Accounting (Projects)

What you’ll bring

• An ability to take decisions, identify problems and proactively come up with solutions
• Working knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP (where relevant) and SOX
• Accounting qualifications will be an asset (ACCA, CIMA)
• Exceptional numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with business sense
• An ability to work under pressure, manage expectations and meet deadlines
• Excellent business acumen and judgement and demonstrated ability to work closely and build sustainable business partnerships with Finance & other global functions.
