Job Responsibilities -
Defines the organization long-range strategic plan and ensures that plan objectives are achieved
• Establishes comprehensive business strategies and oversees all tactics required to achieve them
• Holds profit and loss responsibility.
• Leads the entire commercial activities.
• Build organizational structure required to optimize the value of Abbott product portfolios in Country
• Anticipates market trends & environmental forces and implements the necessary changes to meet
customer needs
• Assesses, determines, and prioritizes potential market growth opportunities/ Set up a new Business Model if needed
• Implement and sustain business processes that ensure efficient execution of key business initiatives
• Inspires the team and operates in a legal and ethical manner and ensures that products and services are marketed in accordance with compliance requirements
• Builds and maintains relationships with decision makers in the local health care system, government
agencies, regulatory bodies, key opinion leaders and community
• Applies and communicates Abbott values in all decisions internally and externally
• Lives up the Abbott values, leading by example
• Creates a good working environment with focus on acquiring, developing and retaining top talent for
the corporation
• Acts quickly to ensure that performance issues are effectively resolved and corrective action is instituted as needed to reestablish expected levels of performance.
• Keeps HR fully informed of status of performance issues. Ensures that documentation is maintained per standards
• Maintains relationships with other functional heads inside the cluster and foster team work
Experience and Education :
Minimum of 8-10 years of previous management majority in sales background (Business Unit Manager, Commercial Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager)
Demonstrated ability to, develop long term sales and marketing strategies
Previous profit/loss responsibility
Strong people management and development skills.
Strong leadership and decision making skills
Winning mentality, dynamic, proactive, innovative, customer focus and cross-functional team player
Fluent in local language
Need to be confident in communicating in English
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, MBA is preferential but not required
