Our mission is to enrich lives by providing choice and access to resources that encourage hope, independence, and recovery. DESCRIPTION OF WORK What is the Role of a County Caseworker 2 in the Early Intervention Unit? To provide Early Intervention screening, tracking, and service coordination, to children birth to three years of age who are experiencing developmental delays, in collaboration with the individual’s family/guardian, and assist them in locating and obtaining necessary services. The Caseworker will travel to the child's home to conduct initial visits and to coordinate and participate in evaluations. The Caseworker works with the Intermediate Unit to help with the transition of services. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment. + Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. + You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1;or + Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program;or + A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major;or + A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social service agency;or + Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences. + Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
