Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The laboratory courier assists physicians through delivery and retrieval of their charts, and patient specimens and provides clerical/physical support to other areas within the facility **What you will do in this role:** + Demonstrates superior skills in transportation of records and specimens + Always delivers and retrieves records to and from appropriate locations using established department procedures. Takes medical test results to physician offices for chart completion. + Picks up laboratory specimens and transports to lab adhering to laboratory procedures for transport of laboratory specimens + Delivers/retrieves other items as required + Ensures that all records are retrieved / delivered in a timely manner + Assists with other areas within the Facility as required ie. mail, deposits, etc. + Answers telephone requests in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner. + Responds to pages in a timely manner (<10 minutes) + Performs other duties as required **What qualifications you will need:** + Drivers License Rio Grande Regional Hospital (https://careers.hcahealthcare.com/pages/rio-grande-regional-hospital) in McAllen, Texas has been serving the Rio Grande Valley for more than 30 years.
