COURIER/HOSPITAL SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Courier/Hospital Services Representative to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:  

The Courier / Hospital Services Representative position is responsible for the safe and secure transport of goods. Documenting transport of various articles of hospital business (i.e. labs, supplies, specimens, pharmaceuticals, confidential documents) between departments and affiliate clinics in the Idaho Falls area. The Courier / Hospital Services Representative must complete all tasks in a manner which does not violate HIPAA regulations. Representatives will conduct all business in a professional and courteous manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The safe and efficient transportation of all required; Lab work Images Medical records Legal documentation Pharmaceuticals Par stock Daily deposits Pick up and sorting of mail Any other items as designated by supervisor or manager.

2. Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicle. Notify supervisor or manager immediately of any vehicle malfunctions or major repairs needed.

3. Collect medical specimens, labs, pharmaceuticals, medical records and other supplies as requested, from designated locations and deliver them to the correct recipient department or facility. Prioritize urgent deliveries to meet critical needs.

4. May require knowledge of handling hazardous materials or temperature-sensitive items.

5. Builds teamwork by being a good team player. Coordinates with hospital staff and other healthcare provider to ensure smooth delivery processes.

6. Organizes and completes work in a timely and professional manner. Demonstrates compliance to all hospital policies, procedures and guidelines.

7. Demonstrates positive attitude, respects coworkers and appreciates similarities and difference of each coworker; demonstrates true caring.

8. Must be flexible and able to handle a stressful environment (at times) with high demand on time and communicative skills.

9. Will follow hospital dress code and present professional image.

10. Must maintain hospital mandatory education and training.

11. The employee is required to comply with all PCI standards and other company policies and procedures for payment card acceptance and security.

12. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations.
