Courier - Pharmacy - Full Time
Position Summary: Under the general supervision of a dispensing Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Courier, using a hospital vehicle, delivers medications from the Pharmacy to patient homes, work locations and medical facilities while maintaining a positive professional and helpful manner. Education, License & Cert: No previous experience required, however, applicants with experience in driving routes will be preferred. High school graduate or equivalent. Other Qualifications: 1. Current, valid driver's license. 2. No prior offenses for DWI, Hit and Run Conviction, or other infractions having led to any revocation of driving privileges in addition to any other criminal convictions. 3. Required to be able to read instructions and communicate knowledgeably with customers. 4. Friendly with good interpersonal skills. 5. Professional appearance. 6. Ability to communicate effectively with compassion with the elderly, people with serious medical issues and as well as physical and mental health disabilities. Essential Functions: + Deliver medication to patient homes work locations and medical facilities often in low income and high crime neighborhoods. + Establish delivery routes on a daily basis to maximize delivery efficiency given the varied nature of the location of deliveries + Deliver and collect financial assistance paperwork + Collect copayments and reconcile in delivery application. + Track deliveries and attempted deliveries recording time, and other circumstances encountered. + Relay customer concerns and delivery instructions + Maintain safe work vehicle by reporting vehicle issues and arranging for routine maintenance.
