Courier Supervisor

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations

3. Shall demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the quality management system by:

(a) promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking

(b) engaging, directing and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system

requirements

(c) promoting improvement

4. Lead a team of Medical Courier Drivers on scheduled route or on-demand activity for pick-up and delivery of packages

including supplies and specimens.

5. Manage the outstanding, in person customer service to internal and external customers.

6. Manages budget for Courier Services.

7. Perform route audits, maintain statistics, manage employee work schedule and timesheets.

8. Manage the use of smart phones and applications for track and trace, worktime and mileage.

9. Reviews courier routes/schedules annually to maximize efficiencies.

10. Monitors routine maintenance needs of company vehicles.

11. Manage workforce supplies, equipment, and compliance.

12. Provides continuity in quality of courier services.

13. Provides education and training for courier staff.

14. Oversee with diligence, the adherence to company processes and procedures.

15. Communicates effectively with staff about policies and policy changes.

16. Works to meet mutual needs of the departments serviced without impacting quality of care.

17. Display a high degree of motivation in accomplishment of courier goals, assurance of accuracy of work performed in all

areas of responsibility.

18. Display good judgement in making decisions. Decisions are timely; comply with policies, and effect the desired results.

Job Requirements
