The primary purpose of the Course Instructor (Per Diem) (BLS) position is to, on a per diem as needed basis, teach BLS provider and First Responder courses offered by the University Hospital Community Training Center, and to facilitate learning in the classroom. Worksin conjunction with the BLS and ACLS/PALS coordinators and staff to ensure quality BLS and First Responder courses.

Qualifications

BLS Instructor certification required, plus three (3) years’ of experience teaching BLS courses required. NJ EMT, EMD, or MICP certification preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Must be available evenings and weekends when BLS courses are offered, and must be available to teach a minimum of one course per pay period (one course every two weeks).
