Job Description

Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

We are currently recruiting for a Court Clerk to work with one of our fantastic Public Sector clients in Leicester city centre

If you have worked within the public sector before this would be advantageous but not essential. If you have transferable experience, then we would love to hear from you.

This a 3 month temporary position initially, with good chance of extension but one in which you would be able to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.


37 hours per week between the hours of 8.00am - 5.30pm Mon - Fri

Pay rate £11.88 per hour

As a Court Clerk you will be the first point of contact for users of our court services, and you will be assisting them with various queries relating to their cases, supporting them with their applications as well as ensuring cases are progressing in line with service needs. This will also include conducting hybrid hearings including CVP and in-person, preparing cases and general administration duties.

An ability to guide our customers in a professional and friendly manner using a variety of digital channels (telephony, email and webchat)Good command of the English language and the ability to explain complex information in simple accessible terms for the user to understandGood organisational and time management skillsStrong emotional intelligence, to be able to understand callers needs and provide excellent customer service in line with HMCTS policyTeam player who is keen to support others whilst managing their own work load
