CPG Specialist - Korea
The Consumer Packaged Goods(CPG) team enables our guests to enjoy Blue Bottle in far-flung places or on the go by distilling our unique cafe experience into portable forms. Our beloved pair of products, New Orleans Iced Coffee and Cold Brew Black Coffee, are gaining fans quickly and we’re excited to bring them and other new products to more and more people.
As a CPG Sales Specialist on our Korea team, you will help Blue Bottle Coffee achieve its mission by engaging the overall CPG business and supporting CPG projects that enable the CPG Manager to be more effective and agile. This role is responsible for managing and developing relationships with key offline retail partners including hypermarkets, convenience stores(CVS) and cash & carry(C&C) stores with a strong understanding of offline distribution strategies, category management, and the ability to drive sales growth through effective account management. We have a close-knit and talented team in Korea and are looking for phenomenal people to join us and develop their skills and careers further by working with us.You will:Be dedicated to the offline channel as the key contributor to lead its development and growthDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key offline retailers such as Emart, Homeplus, Lottemart (Hyper) and Costco (C&C) in a timely and accurate manner as a representative of Blue Bottle CoffeeAchieve and exceed sales targets by implementing effective sales action planning.Negotiate seasonal and weekly promotions to maximize sales, and maintain our position as a key partner with themTrack/update on the sales side (Forecast, MTD & YTD Sales, Sell-Out, Invoice, Returns, etc), working primarily with the Production team (ensuring proper inventory, sales order, delivery, shipping schedule, production & packaging, etc.) and with the Finance, Cafes, and Brand team to be in sync with CPG statusWork closely with both internal and external stakeholders (i.e. production, third party warehouse, finance, brand, guest experience team, and business partners)Monitor and analyze local market trends on-site, and customer shopping behavior to optimize sales execution level of each account.Actively participate in local CPG product development and timely release to the Korean market timely for sustainable business growthYou are:A collaborator who values and builds upon perspectives other than your ownAn exemplary communicator – you are always professional and friendly whether with colleagues or external parties even in difficult situationsHighly organized and detail oriented, able to prioritize while never letting anything fall by the waysideObsessed with the detail, extremely accurate and motivated by getting it right every timeSelf-driven and take the initiative to get things done and even go above and beyondAlways a team player and celebrated for your positive energy and attitude Experienced in and excited by working in a fast-paced, fast-changing work environment You have:Minimum 3+ years of sales experience in offline retail (Hypermarkets, CVS, C&C, or FMCG industry preferred)Proven track record in managing key accounts and negotiating contracts with major retailersKnowledge of trade marketing, category management, and merchandising strategiesStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trendsExperience in multinational FMCG brands, food & beverage, Coffee industry is a plusCommunication in English is a plusHands on experience in E2E is a plus
