Position Overview:

Operate and maintain waste-water system. Monitor washer and maintain chemical levels in washer and monitor DI systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Secure and maintain physical water treatment license. Perform chemical analysis on the various sampling from the washer stages, record results. Scrape sludge from filter press. Use sulfuric acid, lime, and chemicals to treat wastewater from washers. Clear jams in the washers. Add lime to the mix tank to make lime slurry. Obtain water samples from the various stages of the washers. Use measurement gauges to test for the PH of the water titration. Maintain chemical controls and make mechanical adjustments to the washers. Perform quality checks for firm weight.  Troubleshoot based on the results obtained from various process checks. Operate forklift to perform various job duties. Maintain housekeeping at washer and wastewater areas. Record all checks on check sheets. Visually inspect cans. Maintain drying oven and adjust for proper wash stage temperatures. Record temperature checks for the first two stages of the washers. Visually check washer screens. Dump bins of scrap cans at the washers.
