Become a Craft Training Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be responsible for supporting major company initiatives through talent development activities aligned to training development for SCE employees. Your work will support SCE’s strategic initiatives and build workforce capability. You will report to the Enterprise Learning and Development Senior Manager for craft and safety programs.

Responsibilities Delivers technical trainings on a wide range of solutions areas/ technologies Develops, designs, and ensures quality of training materials; performs in the capacity of Technical Instructional Design Lead Utilizes knowledge of training methodologies to plan and facilitates development of training solutions that drive department or Operating Unit outcomes Monitors and documents user outcomes, needs assessment and learning objectives Supports the implementation of training programs, delivery plans and documentation of user outcomes Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders to understand to examine existing software and system training materials, identify gaps and develop an organized approach to development of training resources Contributes to the identification and design of the technical training curriculum, balancing the needs of different functions Ensures feedback is incorporated into the design, development or facilitation of future technical training programs, and that training interventions align both learner experience and department/Operating Unit needs Conducts analyses on program effectiveness, reporting to department or Operating Unit leaders on results Provides input on documentation of programs, curriculum, and outcome objectives; provides oversight and guidance to less experienced team members A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Five or more years of experience supporting technical training learning initiativesPreferred Qualifications:
Experience designing blended learning experiences, including developing virtual training. Analytical and project management skills and have a great attention to detail. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and e-learning software. Experience delivering or developing training content for a craft audience. Design capability that improves learner and facilitator experience. Conduct Train the Trainer sessions. Analyze technical information to design and develop new participant guides, job aids, and assessments that are moderately complex in nature. Experience evaluating and measuring training impacts.
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
