Crane A/D Superintendent II
Overview Responsible for coordinating all activities related to crane operation on a jobsite. Completing work ahead of schedule, within budget and within specifications with varying degree of responsibility and authority. Location & Travel Details: This is an onsite position, based at our project site. Responsibilities Administrative Responsibilities Responsible for daily coordination of Crane Foreman, Crane Operators, crane walks, and crane builds on assigned project This person must have a “safety first” attitude with an understanding of doing the job right the first time. Responsible for ensuring all crane activities are being completed in a safe manner Train and instruct crane operators in safe work practices for assigned tasks Responsible to develop, train and mentor crane operators, supervising crews up to 20 Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures Complete all required project reports and maintain appropriate documentation on all facets of the project Ensure that all operators are certified and maintain all equipment on the project Promote culture of quality and safety Promote and communicate the Company policies and procedures specific to cranes Monitor Crane Operator and Crane Foreman job performance and make personnel recommendations Participate and/or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts including cost saving/avoidance opportunities Develop and monitor key metrics and develop operational strategies for profitability Assist in developing and writing best practices and standard tools to use to continuously improve crane operations Communicate daily status updates with Field Crane Manager Prepare accurate two-week crane look-ahead with Field Crane Manager Communicate with the company lift engineers for crane selection and lift planning.
