**Job Title: Crane Operator** **Job Description** In this position, you will assist the Laser operator by bringing material for processing. You will also be responsible for operating a crane and scale, using hand tools, and reading and using a tape measure. **Responsibilities** + Work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. + Check, sort, and count incoming material. + Assist in preparing warehouse operations for upcoming growth. + Add appropriate labeling of shelves, parts, and bins. + Move material from the receiving area throughout the facility. + Assist the warehouse team with the movement of raw materials to correct storage/staging locations. + Perform cycle counts daily, weekly, and monthly as needed. + Count, weigh, and record the number of units of material. + Load/unload material onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. + Unload trucks as necessary. + Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead. + Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and orderly. + Perform duties as assigned by the supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Forklift certification + Experience in manufacturing + Experience in crane operating + Ability to use hand tools + Ability to read and use a tape measure **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in materials handling **Why Work Here?** We offer a lot of opportunities for growth as we are expanding with a new building. There is a 15% shift differential for the 3rd shift. The work environment can be hot in the summer, but we keep doors open for ventilation. It is a clean environment where all necessary tools are provided. Safety is a top priority. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
