**93944BR** **Job Title:** Crane Operator C - Westwego, LA **Department/Function:** Logistics, Transportation,Warehousing, Supply Chain **Job Description:** **Crane Operator C – Westwego, LA** This is a full-time, hourly level position. **Position Summary:** + ADM is seeking a qualified candidate to work as a crane operator on a mid-stream stevedoring rig based out of our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) in Waggaman, LA. **Job Responsibilities:** + Operate crane in midstream stevedoring operations discharging various cargos by bucket/hook + Inspection of crane, associated equipment and applicable rigging necessary for safe and productive operation + Lead and train stevedore personnel in operations and care of stevedoring production assets + Oversee crane/rig insuring that care, housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance is maintained to Company standards + Coordinate with shift lead and rig crews to accomplish safe and productive crane operations + Complete a variety of required forms electronically and on paper + Lead rig personnel in completing required training and documentation + Additional duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management **Job Requirements:** + Previous experience operating cranes in a stevedoring environment + ADM approved crane operator certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days + Ability to follow direction and execute tasks under the supervision of the Shift Lead or operations management + Ability to execute and assist with inspection and maintenance of crane and associated components, including but not limited to general maintenance, cable changes, lubricants, and bucket maintenance + Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents + Computer skills sufficient to safely and productively operate crane and complete a variety of reports and documents + Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the rig or vessels. Working extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays also required + Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team + Must be able to work in all types of climates + Must have reliable transportation to and from work + Promote the ADM Way and core Values + Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures **Physical Requirements:** + Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and Company human performance exam (physical ability test) + Standing for prolonged periods of time + Frequent heavy lifting + Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending and climbing stairs/ladders + Ability to work near or on large bodies of water, at various heights and in confined spaces ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
