**A Snapshot of Your Day** A Crane Operator utilizes overhead cranes to move large generator rotors (15 to 200 tons) throughout various steps of the production process. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + Safely rig, lift, transport, and load generator rotors onto fixed stands, roller stands, and machines, such as lathes and horizontal boring mills. + Regularly inspect lifting equipment + Assist with mechanical hand skills tasks in other work areas of the department such as rotor winding, assembly, and balance on an as needed basis + Engage in continuous improvement by applying 5S methodology as a component of a Lean production system. **What You Bring** + Must have high school diploma or equivalent + Ability to obtain a critical lift crane operation license. Previous experience is preferred. + Ability to obtain fork truck license. Previous experience is preferred. + Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests. + Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English. + Must be able to live and work legally in the United States. **About the Team** Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. We operate within the Large Generator team to supply new 150 – 1000 megawatt generators to power plants all over the world.
