Crane Technician
**Job Title: Crane Technician** **Job Description** We are looking to grow our Fort Worth branch by adding a Crane Technician to our team. The ideal candidate will have about 5 years of experience or more and be able to work independently from day one. This role involves inspecting cranes and performing a lot of preventative maintenance, requiring a solid background in both mechanical and electrical aspects. The cranes are mainly used in manufacturing and production-based environments. Technicians must be good with customers and well-versed in the industry. Comfort with climbing up to the cranes is necessary. This position requires travel every week, typically leaving on Monday and returning on Thursday. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect overhead cranes and hoists. + Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment. + Support customers by effectively interfacing with them and the office in repairing equipment as needed. + Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs for customers. + Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements. + Service overhead crane systems by performing quality installations, performing OSHA/ANSI equivalent inspections, documenting and completing warranty work, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to repair calls. + Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists. + Build and maintain customer confidence by maintaining good response times, informing customers of problems, and completing the job in a timely manner. + Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas. + Fabricate and weld structures as needed. **Essential Skills** + Crane inspection + Overhead crane expertise + Electrical skills + 3-phase electrical systems + Pneumatics + Troubleshooting + Electrical maintenance + Mechanical skills + Mechanical troubleshooting + Hydraulics + Schematic reading + Welding + Fabrication + People skills (dealing with customers) **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in manufacturing and production environments + Ability to work independently from day one + Comfortable with climbing up to cranes + 5 years of experience or more **Why Work Here?** Founded in 1932, we are one of the largest and most diversified overhead crane and hoist distribution, manufacturing, and service companies in the United States.
