Crash Safety Supervisor
The Crash Safety Supervisor will provide technical expertise and leadership in safety attribute development and frontal impacts for multiple programs. This role will also foster the growth of the Safety platform and core capabilities. Key responsibilities include: + Lead the safety attribute development/certification of LVEA programs. + Oversee frontal impact and platform of crash safety deliveries. + Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) of all safety requirements including both regulations & Public Domain and Safety Design Guidelines. (PDG and SDG) + Chair Safety PAT, set up safety contents, plan, execution, testing and final compliance. + Lead Safety Attribute development and frontal impacts for the programs + Act as the SME of all safety requirements including both regulations (NA, EC, CN) & Public Domain (USNCAP, IIHS, ENCAP, CNCAP, CIASI) with both Internal team and External authorities like CNCAP and CIASI committees and workgroups + Chair Safety PAT, set up safety contents, plan, execution, testing and final compliance + Serve as the focal person for all safety related matters, and interact with all related parties for issue resolutions + Lead resolution of key issues as required in support of program delivery on time. Implement a “data driven” approach and use this data to pro-actively put actions in place. + Supervision of vehicle Safety team, including further develop technical maturity of safety team + Responsibility for all analytical Safety CAE assessments for LVEA programs, TVM projects and Innovation – including program milestone delivery, target setting/delivery, strategy, correlation. + Responsible for implementation of new corporate CAE and physical test best practices. Develop strong working relationships with both Ford cross functional teams and external aurthorities like CNCAP, CIASI and GB committees and workgroups where required. + Minimum 10 years relevant Safety, CAE & Development experience. + Expert on global safety requirements and certification procedure + In depth understanding of Safety Requirements (SDGs, PDGs, public domain and regulatory req’s) & their impact to safety design + Knowledge on structure, restraints, and sensing technology + Familiar with GPDS process and China accelerate VPP program timing through safety execution experience + Experience on both safety simulation and testing + Disciplined and motivated to lead team to deliver to tight timelines with various toolsets + Familiar with Vehicle design and manufacture process + Experience managing a team of (3-10) employees preferred.
