CRD Systems Engineer (REMOTE)

Responsibilities:

Provide technical guidance, resources and training needed to ensure high quality deliverables in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures and regulatory agency guidelines.Primary activities which include:(1) The delivery of cohesive, high quality technical solutions to commercial, DOE, NASA, and DOD customers of the new plants businesses in an on-time manner.(2) The development, maintenance, application and improvement of design and analysis processes (including procedures).(3) The support of business growth initiatives, including new product and services introductions, and the development of innovative technical solutions for new plants by staying current in industry trends and partnering with stakeholders leveraging industry relationships.(4) The development of technical talent and technical depth within the organization in Advanced reactor technology areas such as PRISM, Natrium, the Versatile Test Reactor (VTR) and high-temperature gas reactors for terrestrial and space nuclear applications

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or nuclear engineering or related degree/experience.Minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering and/or technical environment.Minimum of 3 years of experience with nuclear reactor technology systems.Minimum of 3 years of experience working with customers.

Desired Qualifications:

Prior experience with Control Rod Drive (CRD) system design strongly desired.Actual technical experience and working knowledge in design, plant systems, and/or technical analysis with advanced high-temperature sodium fast and molten salt reactor technologies for research and power reactors, high-temperature gas reactors and HALEU or high-enriched research and test reactor fuel.Master's degree in Engineering.Nuclear Plant Operations experience (Engineering, Reactor Engineering, Control Room Operators, Senior Control Room Operators)Proven ability to create real and positive change, think creatively and respond rapidly to changing priorities and customer needs.Extensive technical knowledge of at least one of the technical fields within the organization.Open communication style and proven ability to develop team relationships, including global teams.Demonstrated business knowledge with cross-functional awareness.Demonstrated leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to establish a vision and direction for a new organization.Demonstrated ability to manage a large, matrixed team with multiple demands and priorities.Demonstrated project management skills, including cost and schedule control.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $83.00/hr.
