Creative Communication Consultant
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating
substandard housing and homelessness worldwide. In Ukraine, HFHI is working to address housing and
community development needs, particularly in post-conflict areas. The organization seeks a Creative
Communication Consultant to develop and implement innovative communication strategies that
amplify HFHI’s mission, engage stakeholders, and inspire support for its programs.

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine
Duration: Six months (with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs)
Type of Engagement: Part-time consultancy (30% domestic travel)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Objective of the Role
The Creative Communication Consultant will be responsible for crafting and executing compelling
communication strategies that enhance public awareness of HFHI’s programs in Ukraine. The role will
focus on storytelling, content creation, media relations, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong
emphasis on producing high-quality photo and video materials to visually communicate HFHI’s impact.

Scope of Work
1. Communication Strategy Development
• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with HFHI’s global
and local objectives.
• Create messaging that highlights HFHI’s impact on housing and community development,
inspiring stakeholders to support advocacy efforts.
2. Content Creation and Multimedia Production
• Produce high-quality photo and video content to visually showcase HFHI’s work in Ukraine.
• Develop engaging content, inc. articles, social media posts, newsletters, and impact stories.
• Create multimedia materials such as videos, photos, and infographics to support HFHI’s
communication efforts.
• Ensure the HFHI website and social media platforms are regularly updated with relevant and
impactful content.
3. Public Engagement
• Serve as the primary point of contact for communication related inquiries and manage
relationships with local partners and possibly media.
• Draft press releases and arrange visibility materials
• Organize accountability or visibility events, and public outreach activities
4. Stakeholder Communication
• Coordinate communication efforts with donors, local partners, and government agencies to
ensure alignment with HFHI’s strategic goals.
• Support the program team with design ideas for donor reports and stakeholder presentations,
showcasing project impact and results.

Deliverables
1. Communication Strategy:
- Deliverable: A comprehensive communication strategy document.
- Outcome: The strategy should include 3 key objectives, specific target audiences, and clear
messaging frameworks
2. Content Creation:
- Deliverable: Regular production of high-quality content.
- Outcome:
▪ Publish 4-5 social media posts per month across HFHI’s platforms.
▪ Produce 2 newsletters per quarter
▪ Create 4-5 impact stories over the six-month period.
3. Photo and Video Production:
- Deliverable: High-quality photo and video materials.
- Outcome:
▪ Produce 2-3 professional videos per quarter
▪ Capture and edit 50 high-resolution photos for use in reports, social media, and
promotional materials
4. Public Engagement:
- Deliverable: Organization of visibility events
- Outcome:
▪ Organize 2-3 accountability events or workshops over the six-month period with project
target groups, partners and hromadas
5. Design of Documents:
- Deliverable: Design of materials for donor reports and stakeholder presentations.
- Outcome:
▪ Support the team in the design of donor reports and/or stakeholder presentations over
the six-month period, each including photo and video content.

Qualifications and Experience
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations, communications, or content production,
preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
• Proven experience in high-quality photo and video production, including the use of
professional equipment and editing software.
• Experience working with international organizations, donors, and government officials.
• Familiarity with post-conflict or development communications is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian.
• Excellent writing, editing, and content development skills (print, digital, social media).
• Proficiency in media tools, CMS, and social media platforms.
• Strong skills in photography, videography, and basic graphic design.
• Candidates with their own production equipment (e.g., cameras, lighting, audio equipment)
are highly encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Note: The role will heavily emphasize production work (photo, video, social media content, and
visibility materials) to visually showcase HFHI’s impact. Therefore, the candidates with experience
in high-quality production materials and who possess their own production equipment are strongly
