GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Concept + Design Studio is the full-service in-house partner for all things creative within HBO Max Marketing at Warner Bros. Discovery. Our work spans multiple teams globally and encompasses brand identity, campaigns, toolkits, key art, OOH, motion graphics, and print and digital design. Together, we create and translate the brand for any medium to best serve our stories.

We are seeking a talented Creative Director with a passion for visual communications, focused on production design, global execution, template development, and design systems. As a leader in Brand Design supporting the VP, the CD will be responsible for the strategic creative development of static assets for a variety of marketing initiatives and channels, while upholding the brand’s visual identity and ensuring consistency across multiple platforms. Above all, the CD must be confident in their instincts, with exceptional people-management and collaboration skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support VP in quality control of a high volume of deliverables with tight deadlines; ensure consistency across campaigns and platforms, adhering to brand guidelines and established design systemsBe a hands-on leader, guiding various creative solutions with a digital mindset and an understanding of print developmentLead and brief Creative Production Manager and Production Art Directors on specific projects and provide constructive feedback and oversightHave a strong understanding of grid use, typography, and hierarchy of informationTake initiative and prioritize team’s projects; demonstrate excellent time-management and problem-solving skillsEnsure the team is current with new technology, including AI, and the latest softwareBe accountable in every area: adhere to project timelines by connecting with media and operations teams   

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in graphic design or related coursework with 10+ years’ design experience — including production design — in-house or agency, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleProficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and additional relevant programsStrong eye for designAcute attention to detail and the ability to provide effective design solutionsTop-notch portfolio with a track record of carrying out world-class entertainment campaignsAbility to successfully manage time, workflow, and scheduleFlexibility to collaborate globallyExcellent English communications skills, verbal and writtenSelf-starter with the passion, ability, and energy to work in a fast-paced environment
