We’re looking for a Creative Director who’s ready to put their skills to the test and help shape a brand that our customers love. From visual brand identity to editorial storytelling, video production to graphic design, you’ll shape the creative strategy behind everything we do — and provide the hands-on direction and support to take our creative production to the next level.

Tactically, the Creative Director will set, document, and reinforce new creative and brand standards across all marketing materials and digital assets, including sales and customer success content, website and landing pages, email and ad campaigns, internal and external decks, blogs and newsletters, thought leadership, events, and videos. And you won’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves to help create, build, and shape these materials yourself.

In addition, you’ll help conceptualize and build brand new storytelling formats, audience-building strategies, and creative programs. You’ll start out with a small but mighty in-house design team with the opportunity to grow a world-class group of creative service professionals (across design, video, art and copy) as HackerRank scales. 

You will be working on: Corporate Branding: Lead ideation, creation and rollout of a new visual brand identity Web, Digital and Graphic Design: Own creative production and quality control of all marketing materials, from pitch decks and ads to the shiny new landing page for our next big product  Editorial Storytelling: Provide art, photo and video direction for our audience-building and engagement efforts, across our blog, newsletter, social and thought leadership  Creative Process: Design and document a well-oiled production process that scales, with clear project management workflows that account for things like SLAs and creative review  Team Lead: Coach, mentor, and manage the growth of the creative services team Idea Generation: Articulate and pitch new creative concepts to peers and senior management Rollin’ up Your Sleeves: Jump in to help create and elevate designs whenever the need arises, regardless of size We are looking for: At least 5+ years of experience building and managing creative teams  At least 5+ years of experience setting new brand and creative direction At least 10 years of hands-on production experience in web design and development, digital media design, sales collateral creation, and/or video production Must have experience (B2B or B2C) working in the tech industry Exceptional creative/editorial judgment, with a bias for bold, new ideas and a strong point of view on the latest design trends  Ability to articulate and apply aesthetic choices as objective quality standards across design fundamentals like typography, color, imagery, and graphics Expert command over all the technical tools a modern creative team needs to do their job, including the full Adobe suite, Figma, and Wordpress Ability and excitement to spot, coach and develop talent Nice to have: Experience in motion graphics and animation Experience building a video production strategy and process from scratch Ability to understand and communicate the business impact of design decisions Genuine passion for all things creative, and the willingness to share that philosophy with the rest of the company  Benefits & Perks:

Current base salary range: ($140,000 - $170,000 base). The exact salary may vary based on skills, experience, location, market ranges, and other compensation offered. The salary range does not include other compensation components, commission (for sales-related roles), bonuses, or benefits for which you may be eligible. Salary may be adjusted based on business needs.
