Do you have a passion for the creative industries, such as theatre, music, TV, or film and have you always been interested in the productions of these events and how they captivate their audience? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Creative Industries Production Technician Apprentice.
In this role, you'll play an active role in the technical setup and operation of a variety of established creative venues, such as broadcast and film studios. You’ll provide technical solutions for live performance and event projects of all sizes. The events will range from conferences, products launches, and showcases.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Prepare, build, set up, and operate functioning systems for creative productions which can include sound, lighting, power or video.
- Read, interpret and give appropriate technical information to colleagues and clients.
- Use a variety of tools to assemble, install and maintain technical and production systems.
As a Creative Industries Production Technician Apprentice, you'll need to interact with a wide range of partners and collaborators which may include camera operators, sound technicians, production team, performers and producers so excellent communication skills are paramount. In addition to this, you will be proactive finding solutions to problems and identifying areas for improving processes, ensuring your work is to a high quality so it’s important that you possess a blend of creative, keen eye for visual and audio design and problem-solving skills and able to think on your feet. Many projects are carried out in fast-moving, dynamic workspaces.

You will gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills whilst working towards the Level 3 Creative Industries Production Apprentice standard. As a working student your focus is to complete your studies in your 20% off the job time by learning and developing your skills, knowledge and behaviours to work towards successful graduation. Please note: As part of your off-the-job learning, you may be required to travel to a training centre. This location may differ from your primary work base. Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel as part of the apprenticeship programme. You will be set objectives and goals by your training provider and manager to support your studies.
You will build your skills over a 18-month period, starting in July. These skills will help you develop personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship will be made up of classroom/virtual based training to cover knowledge, on-the-job training at your Amazon base location, online learning as well as mentoring from our experienced team members.
